For example, we recently implemented a grant funding strategy for a client that went beyond the typical "write the grant and hope for the best" approach.

• Reviewing the client’s prior year application;
• Working with the federal agency that administers the grant to ensure that every nuance of the grant opportunity was understood as well as preparing the agency for the grant submittal;
• Reviewing the Program Guidance for the grant program;
• Using our trained staff to write the grant;
• Securing strong support from the clients’ Congressional delegation in the form of letters of support and other backing; and
• Providing direct and targeted follow-up with the federal agency.
