John Harms
John Harms serves as a Public Affairs Advisor for Marlowe & Company. He currently works to advance the federal priorities of Marlowe & Company’s diverse clientele, who range from local municipalities to nationwide nonprofit organizations. His current work includes consulting on water resources and related infrastructure planning, design, and construction with the Army Corps of Engineers. In addition, he works to help secure funding and policy changes for economic development, transportation, and disaster mitigation from various federal agencies and Congress.
Mr. Harms is a former staff member for a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee. During his time on Capitol Hill, he served as the Senator’s primary contact for organizations, local governments, and corporations in Pennsylvania seeking federal funding opportunities. In that capacity, he evaluated and advised on hundreds of grant and loan applications and wrote letters of support from the Senator when appropriate. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Government & Law from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania. He is currently an active member of the Washington Scholars Fellowship Program.
