
Mary Anne Servian is a Florida Policy Advisor at Marlowe & Company, specializing in business development and local representation of Marlowe & Company clients in Florida. A former Mayor and City Commissioner of the City of Sarasota for six years, as well as a community leader, Mrs. Servian possesses a wide array of expertise related to local government.
Mrs. Servian was elected to fill an unexpired term on the City of Sarasota Commission in 2001. In 2003, she was reelected to a four year term, and elected Mayor of Sarasota in 2005. As a member of the City Commission, her diverse district included the barrier islands, the Downtown core, and residential neighborhoods bordering the Tamiami Trail. During her years on the Commission, Mrs. Servian served on the Sarasota County Economic Development Board, the Sarasota/Manatee County Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the Sarasota County Tourist Development Board.
Mrs. Servian also serves as Managing Director of the Servian Group, a Business Brokerage consulting firm she founded with her husband in 1995. Before founding the Servian Group, Mrs. Servian served as a Vice President to two large, national banks.
Active in a number of community organizations, Mrs. Servian is the Chair of First Step Sarasota, a Board Member for the Healthy Start Coalition, a member of First Tee Sarasota, Decision Making for Female Inmates, and VisionQuest.
Mrs. Servian studied at West Chester University, earned a M.A. in Banking / Finance from the Institute of Financial Education, and attended the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, Executive Program.
